An exercise in dense sensory description, stylistic imagery, and grammatical precision.
As the first blush of dawn paints the sky in hues of rose and gold, and as the colours seep into the serrated peaks of the mountains, a figure emerges in the backdrop of the waking city – a fruit stall vendor.
With the air still heavy with the fragrance of the night blooming blossoms, the vendor makes her way to her stall and unlocks the door to her sanctuary – the fruit, her riches. With the grace of the Himalayan breeze, she meanders amongst the treasures, her wrinkled fingers arrange each fruit with the meticulous precision of a jeweller crafting a masterpiece. Every fruit still sparkling from the kiss of the morning dew.
